The faculty was founded in 1961 to educate engineers in radio electronics and computers. Currently the faculty is one of the largest at the university and trains personnel in the field of info-communication technologies, stationary and mobile communication, design of radio electronic equipment, control and diagnostics in instrumentation engineering, electrical power engineering and electrical engineering.
